Thre is a revolution in decision technology in the form of intelligent agent systems. Very soon, tools in the shape of distributed artificial inteligence will be available and be particularly applicable tot he complexities of decision-making in the typical global enterprise. A number of issues will arise in the next few years as intelligent agents become the mainstream enablers of `real-time` enterprise process, such as the need to ensure continuity in the transition phase by careful integrtion of intelligent agent systems into a firm`s legacy systems.
