More fragmentation? Unfinished business in linking the social sciences and the humanities

This essay explores one source of the continuing and possibly increasing fragmentation of administration science - the extensive but partial rapprochement with the humanities that has occurred in recent decades. I argued that the opening to the humanitites is useful because it help us understand processes and phenomena that are not well explored in more traditional modes, but the opening is still incomplete. It has taken place most fully in research using deconstructives, rhetorical, and narrative analysis growing out of literaty, and there has been some connection to the traditional topics of philosophy have been most disjointed. An agenda for further research is suggested
