In spite of being inspired by the recent Brazilian trade liberalization, all questions analyzed here are basically theoretical ones. The author discusses how the connection between in-dustrial and trade policies are analyzed within the international trade theories as well as how the latter offers theoretical arguments favorable to industrial policies
