Six Sigma is a strategy that measures the degree by which a business process deviates from its goal (Harry, 1998). So in this paper we investigate the application of the design for Six Sigma approach to the SDP with the intent of minimising software defects and shortening the software development life cycle.The purpose of this paper is to discuss how Six Sigma may be applied to the software development process (SDP).
