Material type: ArticlePublisher: Paris : IIAP, avril/juin 1996Revue Française D'Administration Publique 78, p. 291-304Abstract: Traditionally in Germany a distinction has been made between the supreme federal administrative authorities, which come directly under the remit of a constitutional organ or a political authority, and the subordinate federal administrative bodies, which have the more particular task of puttinbg into effect and applying legal norms. A second distinction must be made between which is heavily dependant upon the State and which possesses more autonomy.
