Project termination practices in Indian industry : a statistical review

Statistical analysis was carried out after administering questionnaire to project executing firms. While studyng the major problems faced by project managers, statistical results show that negotiating claims with clients, compliance of statutory requirements, receipt of final installment of payment, performance guarantee tests, and handing claims of suppliers are the key problems faced by project managers in India in terminatin projects. It was observed that the promblems faced by private sector corporationsare as sever as public sector companies. Various other probllems encoutered by project managers are also highlighted. At the end, the paper indicates further scope of expanding the present research work
