Philips components adopts mini-company structure - 2002

The main characteristics of the mini-company concept appear to be a strong market orientation, achieved through client-supplier relationships, and a strong potential towards improvement and innovation on the shopfloor. These advantages are, howeverm achieved at a cost - most notably of the increase in pressure felt by some workers onthe shopfloor. To this extent, the mini-company is a microcosm of capitalism itself
