The case of the national solidarity program in Mexico : a study in comparative policy termination - New York : Marcel Dekker, 2001

Many policy scholars have noted that the policy termination literature has to date compiled an inadequate set of studies from which to posit theoriectic propositions. Comparative policy analysis is in much the same position. This paper addresses both of these concerns by, first, offering a case study of a major policy initiative in Mexico, Pronasol, and second, using American policy termination frameworks, posing the possibilty of comparative that the congruencies between the Mexican and American termination experiences are not always exact, but there are some useful generalizations that may be made.
