<br/><br/> This paper is an examination of the German technology transfer system in an era of globalisation. There is inherent dynamism within the system that enables it to adapt effectively to produce an innovation infrastructure that is strong. The paper describes individual institutions within the system. By means of a detailed study of a technology transfer, it argues that competition and collaboration between institutions ensures the sustained technological competitiveness of the German economy
