Denny`s sees the light of diversity - 2001

In the UK, business mogul Gerald Tarner once famously remarked that his store sold "crap jewelry". Overnight the chains`s fortunes crashed and the company ha struggled ever since to re-build its image. The public is slow to forgive such indiscretions. In the USA, fast-food outlet Denny`s has until recently been a laughing stock - for all the wrong reasons. Facing bankruptcy, it was seen as being racist, discriminatory and representing a living reminder of the segregationist mentality of the old South
