Organizational culture at Life Care Centers of America - 2001

The article examines previous definitions of organizational culture and highlights the paucity of research into the factors which militate against monolithic organizational culture. Through research into organizational culture at Life Care Centers of America, the article shows that significant differences in perceptions are found by organizational unit, the age of the employee, the employee's gender and his or her ethnicity. Although written in an academic style, the article draws out the managerial implications of the research, and so contains conclusions to interest human-resource specialists and senior managers
