520 | 3 | _aWhat is the degree to which the measure of variation (MV)index possesses measurement reliability and yields similar representation scores when compared to other representation indexes? Recent rearch on representative bureaucracy has questioned the degree to which the MV index is reliable and valid for estimating minority incorporation (representation) in the federal work force. At present, there is a lack of sufficient emprirical evidence that estimates the extent to which the MV index is reliable and valid. The results of guajardo's study indicate that the MV index possesses a resonable degree of measurement reliability and that it is appropriate for assessing and measuring future minority representation in the federal government. | |
