520 | 3 | _aKnowledge management become increasingly imperative as knowledge is regarded as the key determinant of a firm, industry or country for its survival and sustainable growth in the knowledge era. Varieties of disciplines have made contributions to knowledge and knowledge management. Each research focuses on one or more specific fields, but to understand which levels of knowledge processes knowledge management should concentrate on and how to focus efforts to perform functions effectively, should be more fundamental than the barren advocacy of knowledge management. Knowledge-related matters were examined holistically from the viewpoint of systems science in the paper. By using critical systems thinking, soft systems thinking, social systems design etc., plus diverse findings of knowledge in majr fiels, a new systematic perspective on knowledge, its creation accumulation, networking and management, was proposed, aiming at providing a new way of thinking and a useful toolbox on different levels and phases of knowledge management for practical knowledge users | |
