When UK financial-services provider Prudential decided to introduce extensive remote working as part of its drive to build stronger customer relationships, the ocmpany was keenm to ensure that its employees not only had the technology, but also the skills, to maximize the individual and business benefits ofered by this new way of operating. This review is based on information provided to Emerald. It demonstrates that successfull remote-team working is not simply a matter of ensuring staff have access to a laptop and a telephone line, and assuming that they will be able to continue with their work.
